Word Games
Six word games in four languages — Chechen, Kazakh, Turkish, Azerbaijani
Android 7 and later · free with in-app purchases
Here the language is a game board, not a textbook: you guess a word, hunt it down in a grid, build it from letters or win it from your opponent. One app, four languages — Chechen, Kazakh, Turkish, Azerbaijani. You switch language on the home screen.
Word of the day
Five letters, six tries. One word a day, the same for everyone playing that language, with its meaning revealed at the end.
Pairs
Match each word with what it means. Words come in themed sets — family, food, animals, nature, work, the road.
Wisdom of the day
A proverb with one word missing. Put it back and find out what it means.
Word search
Words hidden in a grid of letters, in all eight directions — diagonals and backwards included.
Make words
Dozens of words come out of one set of letters. Swipe across the letters; bonus words count too, even when they are not among the words to find.
Duel
Two players, one phone, turn by turn: a word battle on a 5×5 board, or a 60-second race on the same letters to see who finds more.
Beyond the six
The six games above are in all four languages, and beyond them the languages part ways. Chechen adds four: a vocabulary test, Basics, The apt word and Opposites. Kazakh adds the vocabulary test and Basics, Turkish the vocabulary test.
Meanings travel with the word
Word meanings and the interface are in English, Russian and Turkish. The game works whether the language is your mother tongue, your family’s half-remembered one, or one you are starting from scratch: it never asks about grammar, it puts a living word in front of you.
Words come from sources
Words, meanings and spelling are checked against dictionaries, and the proverbs are real.
A vocabulary test in the browser
The same dictionary is behind a short test in Chechen, Turkish and Kazakh. Sixty words, five minutes.
Free and paid
Word of the day, wisdom of the day and the duel are free forever. In the other games a large part is free, and a single purchase removes the limit in all four languages at once, with no subscription.
